Lawn Tennis Association “Education Programme of the Year Award”

Staff and pupils at Cardinal Newman Catholic School and Sixth Form Centre, Pontypridd are ecstatic after being awarded the "Education Programme of the Year Award" from the Lawn Tennis Association.

Christine Sprowell, Schools Tennis Manager at the Tennis Foundation, Great Britain's leading tennis charity, said: "The PE staff and Senior Leadership Team have been hugely supportive in radically hanging the way tennis is delivered in the school and subsequently bringing more students to the game so they can enjoy all the physical and social benefits which tennis brings."

The PE Department will be presented with the National Award by the Duchess of Gloucester at Wimbledon on the 4th July 2017.
