The English Department has four experienced members of staff aiming to provide an enjoyable experience of English in a creative learning environment. Lessons include a lively range of activities, geared to developing pupils' reading and writing, speaking and listening skills, with experience of drama. As a result of enthusiasm and commitment from both staff and pupils, external examination results are consistently high and above national averages. The English Department provides a range of extra-curricular activities. Frequent theatre visits are arranged to enrich the pupils' experience of drama with the thrill of live performance.
